Newcastle Light Rail Track Works
Rhomberg Rail is currently delivering the track works scope for the Newcastle Light Rail Project. The work includes the installation of all rail and special track including turnouts, crossovers, switch machines and insulated rail joints. The installation of all connections and cast-in items within the track slab are also within our scope of works. Additionally, Rhomberg Rail will deliver all track related concrete and reinforcement works as part of our contract, including supply and placement. Extensive electrical testing at various stages is required to guarantee functionality. This is an exciting project for the company and will utilise various measuring technologies of the Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group including DigiBAR and Hergie.
Forrestfield Airport Link - Bayswater Track Works
Rhomberg Rail is delivering the tracks works for the Forrestfield Airport Link Project in Western Australia for Salini Impregilo NRW Joint Venture. The activities include track construction required to extend the passenger railway from Bayswater Junction (on the Midland Line) to Forrestfield, including stations at Airport West, Consolidated Airport Terminal and Forrestfield. This new rail link forms part of the first stage of METRONET, the long-term blueprint to connect Perth’s suburbs, reduce road congestion and meet the region’s future planning needs.
Parkes to Narromine Timber Bridge Replacements
Rhomberg Rail has been awarded the Parkes to Narromine Timber Bridge Replacements Project by ARTC. Commencing in February 2018, the scope of works involves replacing four existing timber bridges with four new concrete culvert structures on the P2N rail line in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales. The completed works will contribute to the improved reliability and overall track performance within ARTC's P2N network.
Central North West Bridge Replacements - FY18
ARTC has commissioned Rhomberg Rail to replace three existing timber bridges with three new concrete culvert structures on the Central and North Western (CNW) rail line in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales. The project will kick-off February 2018 and be delivered across two possessions and involve the replacement of two bridges in Dunedoo and one in Elong Elong.
