Richard Morgan, Managing Director

With over 30 years’ experience in the NSW rail industry, Richard brings extensive experience in rail construction and maintenance disciplines to his role of Managing Director. Through strong leadership and effective management skills, Richard has successfully planned and delivered numerous award winning rail infrastructure projects.

Commencing with Rhomberg Rail Australia in 2007, Richard has developed a strong delivery team with an unrivalled reputation for quality. Richard is driven by his passion for Rhomberg Rail to further enhance their reputation as the leading provider of effective solutions for rail networks and projects throughout Australia. His focus is on continuous improvement and his commitment is for Rhomberg Rail to maintain its industry leading safety culture.

Scott Richardson, GM - Rail Operations

Scott has 17 years’ experience in maintaining rolling stock and is currently the General Manager of Rail Operations for Rhomberg Rail Australia. He joined Rhomberg Rail in 2013 bringing his extensive maintenance and rail safety skills to the company.

Scott has relevant experience in both heavy haul, passenger and rail infrastructure vehicles for government and industry clients in all facets of rolling stock maintenance and management. He has also played critical roles in other rolling stock maintenance organisations including facility manager and client manager on contracts valued at $30m. Tim Horan, GM - Track Operations

Tim’s career of almost 10 years is characterised by teamwork and client focus with an outcomes-based approach. Tim was instrumental in establishing our market leading track maintenance and inspection business bringing to the fore his collaborative nature working with clients and commitment to achieving profitable value-for-money outcomes. Having established the Queensland operations in 2014 he has recently returned from Queensland after spearheading the company's rapid growth in the area.

Tim enjoys promoting the Rhomberg Rail brand of ground up, in-house delivery which consistently delivers hassle-free results for clients. He also enjoys all sports with a keen interest in football and golf. 

Lou Stojanovski, Non-executive Director/Legal Counsel

Lou has recently joined Rhomberg Rail Australia's Senior Management Team assisting with a number of high level duties that include, among other things: corporate governance; reviewing tenders submission and infrastructure contracts; updating company standard terms of engagement with customers and suppliers; assisting with business development opportunities; providing senior leadership with legal counsel; and advising on any corporate acquisitions.

As founding director of Keystone Lawyers, Lou commenced his legal career in 1995 and is now an industry recognised specialist in Construction, Mining and Infrastructure Law. Lou’s experience includes advising on venture structuring, partnership agreements, engineering procurement and construction agreements, mining infrastructure and equipment supply agreements, asset sale, mergers and acquisitions.

Garry Thuer, Director & Board Member

Garry is CEO International Business and Member of Group Management of the Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group. Beginning his career 21 years ago on completion of a Masters in Business Management, Garry has developed and implemented corporate strategies in a variety of different industries in Europa, Australia and North America.

Garry joined Rhomberg and the construction industry 15 years ago, reporting directly to Hubert Rhomberg, the fourth generation company owner. From 2006 to 2014, he developed RSRG’s business in Australia as Managing Director from a niche player of high-performance tamping services to a full service provider for track design, construction and maintenance services. Now, Garry is the RSRG’s Group Management Representative and Director of the Australian operations with a particular focus on strategy, organisational development and major projects.
