The RTAA is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation which draws together key industry stakeholders in a bid to foster collaboration and enhance the delivery of rail infrastructure services across Australia.
Mr Thuer said today he was “'honoured' with his appointment to Vice President of the RTAA.
“It‘s a great privilege to be working with the RTAA Executive Committee and its members,“ Mr Thuer said today.
“I look forward to working with my colleagues at the RTAA so I can share the knowledge of Rhomberg Rail's experience in Europe and Australia, bringing a new perspective to the delivery of rail infrastructure services across Australia.
“I believe my appointment to the RTAA will strengthen the existing trade relationship between Australian and Austrian rail industries.“
The RTAA organises the highly successful annual Rail Industry Field Days, held in conjunction with RailCorp, to showcase the industry's rail infrastructure, construction and maintenance equipment.
Mr Thuer has more than 15 years corporate management experience in both Austria and Australia, recently leading the successful rebranding of Rhomberg Rail Australia from Track Australia.
As Managing Director, Mr Thuer has overseen the expansion of the company across Australia, with more than 100 rail professionals employed by Rhomberg Rail Australia at their two NSW offices and on projects in other parts of the country.
