TRACK AUSTRALIA REBRANDED TO RHOMBERG RAIL AUSTRALIA
The rebranding of leading rail company Track Australia to Rhomberg Rail Australia has resulted in an expansion of services for rail projects, from concept to completion and maintenance, Managing Director Garry Thuer, said at the event at the Shangri-la hotel, July 29.
Mr Thuer said the Austrian-based Rhomberg Rail Australia would deliver the market a suc-cessful combination of wide-ranging European experience and the very best, Australian knowl-edge.
“The rebranding will ensure that Rhomberg Rail Australia receives the innovation, project ex-pertise and financial strength that the European Rhomberg Group has to offer,“ he said.
“This gives Rhomberg Rail Australia expanded service capability for rail projects, starting from concept, right through to its completion and maintenance.“
Mr Thuer said that since entering the market five years ago as Track Australia, the company had:
- Significantly increased its workforce to more than 100 rail professionals across NSW.
- Invested in new, leading-edge technology and high performance rail track plant and equipment.
- Opened new offices in Sydney and Thornton (in the Hunter region).
- Developed its role as a reliable project partner and delivered cost-effective solutions in many major projects including the Epping to Chatswood remediation works, Fortescue Metals Group Rail Line completion, Hunter Valley Network extension and maintenance, ARTC Interstate Freight Lines upgrade and RailCorp MPM and resur-facing works.
“In Europe, the Rhomberg Group has been operating for more than 70 years and is well-known in the industry for being able to deliver difficult rail projects on time, and on budget,“ Mr Thuer explained.
“Now with its expanded range of services, Rhomberg Rail Australia is thoroughly committed to the same here in Australia.“
Mr Thuer said the company’s rebranding to Rhomberg Rail Australia represented its sustained growth across the rail industry.
Earlier this year, the company acquired the Delkor Rail Services, further supporting its existing resurfacing, track construction and rail structures operations. Delkor Rail has been recognised as the premier Permanent Way design company in NSW.
“The acquisition of Delkor Rail Services has allowed us to deliver our customers seamless solutions, from concept to completion and maintenance for their rail projects,“ Mr Thuer said.
“Importantly, Delkor Rail continues to provide specialised rail products such as the fastening systems, including the Delkor Egg, ALT.1 and other rail components to rail infrastructure clients.“
Mr Thuer said Rhomberg Rail Australia offers the following key capabilities to deliver cost efficient solutions over the life cycle of the rail infrastructure:
