Key Benefits of Machine Consist

09-3X / DTS Automatic Levelling, Lining and Continuous Action Tamping Machine, Ballast Regulator & Dynamic Track Stabiliser

Our 09-3X achieves a 40% increase in productive output on previous machine models making it the fastest tamper in Australia. This means that a minimum of site occupation is required allowing us to get on and off the network quickly to provide more network capacity.
A faster clearway for freight and passenger trains is provided due to minimum site occupation and a better utilisation of the track possessions.

Developments in computerised machine control and measuring through the sophisticated ALC system is inbuilt in the machine and operators are trained and experienced in delivering the quality outcomes required by modern rail infrastructure. Track geometry is improved and the maintenance cycles are increased, due to the superior quality output of the 09-3X.

Track stabilising provided by the DTS 62 N leads to further quality improvements as it ensures homogeneous, spatial consolidation of the entire ballast bed and an increase of the resistance to lateral displacement of the track. The ballast does the work and the stabiliser ensures that it is left in the most effective condition.

Long-reach shoulder ploughs allow ballast recovery not otherwise possible leading to great savings as less ballast management by ballast trains is required
Overall the 09-3X / DTS leads to lower maintenance costs and less track occupation for tamping activities. The intervals between maintenance are extended due to the higher quality output achieved by this machine

The 09-3X / DTS is suitable for both track construction and maintenance.
